Note: all 3 programs offer ‘creditable’ drug coverage, meaning their drug coverage is at least as good as the Medicare Part D drug benefit.

As long as you continue to qualify, you should be able to keep the coverage you have. If you are thinking of making any changes, you should contact your benefits administrator first.

It will almost always be to your advantage to keep your current coverage.
If you lose your TRICARE, VA, or FEHB coverage and you want join a Medicare drug plan, in most cases you won't have to pay a penalty as long as you join within 63 days of losing your coverage.
